P8568 Decision Analysis for Clinical and Public Health Practices

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the methods and growing range of applications of decision analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis in health care technology assessment, medical decision making, and health resource allocation. The objectives of the courses are: (1) to master a set of basic techniques used in performing decision analyses and cost-effectiveness analyses; (2) to establish a solid foundation for understanding the uses and limitations of these techniques; and (3) to gain an appreciation of the potential benefits and practical problems of applying these methods in decision making at the levels of national and international health policy, managed care organizations and patient care.

Students must have already taken P6103 or P6104 or the Quant Core module. Each student is required to bring a laptop with TreeAge Pro installed to class.
